What does the website migration service consist of? Will my site be safe?
If your current hosting provider can no longer measure up to the necessities of your web site, or if you go through continuous downtime, or if you are made to wait for hours for the support staff to reply back to you, it might be smart to switch your web hosting provider, i.e. to move all the files for your websites together with your databases from your present provider to your new provider. At HACKFLIX LTD, we know that this can often be difficult and time–consuming. That’s why we will perform all that for you at no cost!Our highly experienced technical team representatives will move your website content from your current provider to us. Our technicians have plenty of experience migrating websites and are able to take care of anything – from a typical WordPress blog or Joomla ™ site, to a highly elaborate, custom–built application.
How much time will it take for my site to be moved over to your platform?
While we can’t give you an exact ETA, because there are lots of variables, including the size of the files and databases, the physical location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your site and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll give our best to move your site within 48h, and in certain cases – within 24h (if the content is not large).
What data will I need to provide to your Website Migration Department?
We’ll need the login information for your old web hosting provider’s Control Panel and the web site’s name (domain name).
I give you access to sensitive data. How can I be sure that you won’t misuse it?
In order for us to start the migration of your account, you must already have an account with us. Opening an account with us requires that you to disclose basically the same details you have given to your current web host. We’ve also got a very rigorous Privacy Policy, which specifies how personal info is used.
Will there be any downtime for my website?
Your website will work exactly like it did before with your old web hosting provider. Once we are done with the transfer, your website will be configured to work on our hosting platform and we will alert you to preview it. If everything is working properly, all you will have to do is edit the name server records associated with your domain. Your site will be migrated over to us without any downtime.
Will my current hosting provider have to do anything?
While we move your web content, your hosting provider won’t be aware of the migration at all. We will never touch base with them in any way.
Which web hosting providers can you migrate data from?
We support all Linux–driven hosting platforms. Essentially, if we can access your Control Panel, we’ll be able to transfer your website.The only platforms that we do not support are closed–source web site building platforms like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
